We are NOT a Beauty School! There are thousands of beauty schools and only a few specialized makeup schools in the country. We are the only licensed and accredited makeup school in South Florida.
We provide makeup artistry training in all the different modalities- beauty, fashion, film, television, theater, and special effects. In an ever-growing, constantly evolving industry, our faculty are all accomplished artisans actively working.
For 25 years, we have trained thousands of students from all over the world. We are accredited by the ACCSC (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools & Colleges) and licensed by the Commission for Independent Education of the Florida Department of Education.
History
Cosmix is a post-secondary vocational school specializing in makeup artistry training. The school was founded in 1997 as a makeup artistry training center and wholesale showroom. Growing demand for specialized makeup training stimulated conversion to a school, licensed by the Commission for Independent Education of the Florida Department of Education and accredited by the ACCSC (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges).
The school’s founding philosophy emphasized educational excellence and began by assembling a team of accomplished artists, each a specialist in a particular area. At many schools, only one instructor teaches the entire course. At Cosmix, we believe you should learn from the best in each area of artistry. Through exposure to many different makeup artists, you will experience various techniques and methodologies and emerge with your own unique style.
Our Mission
It is our mission to create highly technically trained professionals to work in various careers in the beauty, fashion, and entertainment industries. By providing unique, multi-faceted education in makeup artistry and related subjects, we prepare professionals for jobs ranging from skin care specialist to special effects makeup artist.

Makeup Schools in Florida
Cosmix was founded in 1997 to meet the growing demand for professional makeup schools. We are one of the few licensed makeup artistry schools in the United States. We are not a cosmetology or beauty school. An individual who wants to become a professional makeup artist and work in production needs to attend a specialized makeup school not a cosmetology school where the focus is on hair.
