There are thousands of beauty schools but only a few specialized makeup artist schools. If you are trying to decide which program is right for you- Master Makeup Artistry Pro is our most popular program. It is a dual-credentialed licensed program. Students are trained in every area of artistry from clean beauty and skin care to the most complex character and prosthetic makeup.

Programs
Master Makeup Artistry Pro (Licensed)
1200 clock hours – 38 weeks
Beauty – Skin – Fashion – Film – TV – Theater – FX
This is our most popular and the longest, most comprehensive program for students who want to be well-rounded, train in every media, and work both as a makeup and special effects artist with no restrictions. Most states have licensing requirements for freelance makeup artists, and many retail cosmetic companies only hire licensed artists. Master Pro graduates are licensed by the Florida Board of Cosmetology and prepared for entry-level employment in the cosmetic, fashion, film, TV, bridal, salon/spa, theatrical and entertainment industries. The 1200 clock hour program consists of 6 modules:
- Beauty Makeup
- Fashion Makeup
- Character Makeup
- Makeup for Film, TV & Theater
- Special FX Makeup
- Skin Care
Master Makeup Artistry
900 clock hours – 29 weeks
Beauty – Fashion – Film – TV – Theater – FX
For those who have a Cosmetology or Skin Care license or do not want to be licensed to do freelance work, this program is the same curriculum as Master Pro minus Skin Care. Students are prepared for entry-level employment in the cosmetic, fashion, film, TV, bridal, salon/spa, theatrical, special FX, and entertainment industries. This program has all the same makeup classes as Master Pro except the Skin Care courses.
The 900 clock hour program consists of 5 modules:
- Beauty Makeup
- Fashion Makeup
- Character Makeup
- Makeup for Film, TV & Theater
- Special FX Makeup
Fashion Makeup Artistry
300 clock hours – 9 weeks
Beauty – Fashion
Designers launch seasonal collections that fuel the world of fashion and beauty. This makeup program explores the intricacies of this work with models, photographers, and designers. Graduates of this program will be prepared for entry-level employment as a makeup artist in the cosmetic, fashion, bridal, salon/spa, and entertainment industries.The 300 clock hour program consists of 2 modules:
- Beauty Makeup
- Fashion Makeup
Skin Care
300 clock hours – 9 weeks
Skin Care
This program is included in the Master Pro program and covers the knowledge and procedures needed to run a successful skin care business. It also satisfies the licensing requirements for freelance makeup artists practicing in Florida. Many states do not allow a makeup artist to charge for makeup services without a license. Graduates of this program will also be prepared for entry-level employment in a salon, spa, brow bar, resort hotel, plastic surgery or dermatological clinic as a skin care specialist.
Individual Classes & Workshops
Many makeup artists want to polish their skills or learn a new specialized area of training like Special FX. Others have a time restraint and can’t join us for a full program. Cosmix allows individuals to take certain courses or workshops on a stand-alone basis.
Please be advised that individual makeup courses taken on a stand-alone basis are not accredited by ACCSC. In addition, students taking stand-alone makeup courses are not eligible for the career services that are offered to students and graduates of larger programs.
